It’s been a few years, but Brailsford & District Ploughing & Hedgecutting Society are proud to relaunch the Fodder Beet Competition this year.
So that can only mean one thing: the judging team of Mick Bailey, Steward; Phil Smith, Judge; and Graham Knight, Assistant Judge, are out and about again!
With seven entries to get around, it was going to be a busy few hours, but with a warm welcome and the usual friendly chat from all of the entrants, the team were soon getting the miles under their belts.
With crops all of a good standard, they certainly had their work cut out. Unfortunately, there was no time for lunch this time, but an ice cream certainly hit the spot on a warm day!
A big thank you from the Society to everyone who entered, and also to our judging team who have once again given up their time to make this season’s judging possible.
Results will be published in due course on the Fodder Beet page.
