If you are a farmer or simply interested in experiencing authentic rural life, the Brailsford and District Ploughing and Hedgecutting Society warmly welcomes you to join us for our match day. With over 100 competitors showcasing their skills, you will witness ploughing with horse-drawn, vintage, and modern equipment, as well as hedge layers demonstrating the highest standards of craftsmanship.
You’ll also find machinery dealers and local producers displaying their goods, so whether you’re considering a new combine or just a new muck fork, this event has something for you. Our adult competitions highlight a range of skills, from horticulture to (my personal favourite) cake baking.
If you’re looking to make new friends or rekindle old friendships, why not join me and the team and have a truly great day out?
Sincerely, Bill Slater, Chairman
